Terms of use

Sharealink lets you put files, links, notes and to-do lists behind one link and send it to someone. Anyone can make a free link without an account. It can hold as many files, links, notes and to-do lists as you need (files up to 50 MB each), and it doesn't expire. Pro adds an account, links you can edit, activity, client comments, password protection and branding.

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You give us permission to store it, process it (for example to check file types or make previews) and show it to anyone who has the link, only so we can run Sharealink.

Links are unlisted, not private: anyone who has the address can open it, and they can forward it. Don't put anything in a link that you wouldn't want the recipient to share. Pro links can have a password.

You're responsible for what you share and for having the right to share it.

• Share malware, phishing pages, scams or anything meant to trick or harm the person opening the link.
• Share content that's illegal, that exploits children, or that you don't have the rights to.
• Harass, threaten or spam people, or use links to send bulk unsolicited messages.
• Use Sharealink as general file hosting or a content delivery network for another site or app.
• Get around limits, rate limits or bot protection, or try to access links, accounts or data that aren't yours.

We can remove content and disable links or accounts that break these rules, without notice.

Every shared page has a “Report this link” button. Use it to tell us about spam, malware, phishing, illegal content or copyright infringement. You can also email hello@sharealink.app with the link and what's wrong with it. We review reports and take links down when they break these terms.

Free links don't expire. They stay up until the person who made them deletes them, or until we remove them for breaking these terms. You can delete a free link from the page you made it on, from the shared page in the browser you made it in, or from the link in our emails. Deleting removes the files right away.

Pro links stay up while your plan is active. If you archive a Pro link you can restore it for 30 days, then it's deleted. If your plan ends, your links stop being available.

We may remove free links that are used against these terms, or change free-plan limits in the future. If we ever change how long free links stay up, we'll say so on this page and on the homepage before it takes effect.

Pro is $15 a month or $120 a year, billed in advance through Stripe. Plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Billing in your dashboard; your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. Payments aren't refunded for partial periods unless the law requires it.

If we change prices, we'll tell you by email before your next renewal at the new price.

Pro accounts sign in with a link we email you. Keep access to that email address secure; anyone who can read it can sign in. Tell us at hello@sharealink.app if you think someone else has accessed your account.

The homepage may show sponsored tools, clearly labelled “Sponsored”. Sponsors never appear on the links you send, and never for Pro members. We don't share your content or your recipients' details with sponsors.

We work hard to keep Sharealink running and your files safe, but we provide it “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Keep your own copies of anything important.

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you use Sharealink for free.

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll post it here with a new date, and email Pro members before it takes effect. Using Sharealink after a change means you accept the new terms.
